BUSINESS MANAGER'S NOTES

      I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We are looking at a good year for work in 2007 if all the work that has been planned gets started. We do ask that during the winter months while work is slow that all members take advantage of our two training sites, class schedules are available at your Local Union hall office. We must have a trained work force especially for our industrial worksites U.S. Steel, Mittal Steel and BP Amoco etc., in order to stay competitive and keep our work. A quick note on our BCRC program if you receive a letter for random testing you have to test within 7 days of the date of the letter not 7 days from when you received the letter please keep your BCRC current as this is a requirement of most signatory contractors and all industrial worksites.
